The Air series sits between the Mini and the Mavic, and so attracts a certain kind of pilot: someone who wants more than an entry aircraft without hauling a Mavic's weight. They fly often, and they fly close to things.
What we see most from this series is impact damage at the front. The Air lands nose-first if it descends too fast, and the front arms and camera take the blow. On the Air 2S and Air 3 with their twin cameras, that often means one of the two lenses ends up misaligned or soft while the other is fine. That is not a fault you notice straight away.
Motors are the second reason. An Air that caught a branch or a facade jams briefly, and the controller takes the hit. That is exactly the kind of component we replace without swapping the whole board.
