Gimbal and camera
Small motors that keep shaking, ribbons torn at the fold, an image hanging crooked or soft on one side. Often the result of thousands of folds.
A lot of video work, so the camera has to be perfect.
Ghent has a dense layer of video makers, from students at the colleges to production houses working for brands. To them a drone is a camera that happens to fly, and that changes what breaks and what matters.
A broken arm is annoying for these customers but fixable. A gimbal hanging half a degree off is worse, because you only see it in the edit and reshooting the day is not always possible. So we receive a striking amount of gimbal and camera work from Ghent: torn ribbons, shaking motors, an image that stays soft on one side. Plus many aircraft that froze during a firmware update, usually right before a job.

Broken traces, burnt components, memory shaken loose. We solder on the board itself rather than replacing it, even when the part is no longer supplied.
Aircraft frozen during an update, activation that keeps failing, error messages that keep returning. Often solved without replacing anything at all.
You do not have to drive. Everything happens by courier, and you know where your aircraft is at all times.
